Valentine Was Italian. Dinner Should Be Too.

Saint Valentine lived in Italy. Long before cards, prix-fixe menus, or reservations booked weeks in advance, Valentine’s Day was simply about devotion, shared meals, generous tables, and taking the time to sit together. We like to think he would have approved.

This Valentine’s Day at Sorella Italian, we’re honoring that spirit the best way we know how: with a four-course Italian dinner built around tradition, indulgence, and food meant to be shared 🍝

No reservations required. Just come in, order from the Valentine’s menu, and let the evening take its time.

The menu begins the way many great Italian meals do, with intention. Hand-rolled pasta served in brodo, rich and comforting, or a carefully prepared carne cruda that speaks to restraint and quality over excess. These are dishes rooted in simplicity, where the ingredients do the talking.

From there, the table deepens. Risotto with fennel and apple, paglia e fieno with duck confit, dishes that balance richness with brightness, meant to be savored slowly, preferably with a glass of wine in hand 🍷

For the main course, American Wagyu bavette or ling cod puttanesca anchor the meal. One indulgent and deeply satisfying, the other bold and briny, both unmistakably Italian in spirit, generous without being showy.

And then there’s dessert. Because Valentine’s, saint or not, would never skip dessert. Our house-made tiramisu is layered the way it should be: espresso-soaked ladyfingers, mascarpone, cocoa, and just enough sweetness to make you linger. It’s the kind of ending that feels earned.

Our house-made tiramisu is layered the way it should be. Espresso-soaked ladyfingers, rich mascarpone, and just enough sweetness to keep you going back for one more bite. Finished with a snowfall of cocoa and powdered sugar, because restraint is overrated.
